Kristine and Christian Carpio
Our Featured Nurse
Kristine and Christian Carpio, made the decision to move their family to live and work in the United States. They are currently both nurses, employed at different facilities. The Carpio family has settled in Buffalo, Minnesota, which they fell in love with. “We fell in love with Buffalo and just last year we bought our house and decided to stay in Minnesota”.
The process of acquiring a job and moving to a new country is not always easy. The application process can be rough, but in 2016, they found their luck. The Carpio family moved from their home in the Philippines, to the United Arab Emirates, searching for new opportunities. While working in the UAE in a nursing home, the opportunity to interview with WorldWide HealthStaff Solutions arose. Christian and Kristine jumped at the chance to interview. Although they both wanted the job, they knew that one of them had to get it, to change their lives. “I told my husband as long as one of us got the job then we will have the opportunity to go to the U.S.”. Fortunately, they both got the job.
Moving to a new country may not always be easy, but Kristine and Christian are dedicated to working together as a team, to make the best for their growing family. “Life in the U.S. is not easy. My husband and I worked as a team in every decision that we are going to make. “You need to have plan B and C if your plan A doesn’t work”, Kristine mentioned. “We have to lie down our cards for what ifs, like what if this does not work, what are the other options”.
“We are thankful for WWHSS for the opportunity and for guiding us all throughout”, Kristine said, “and for making our American dream into reality”.
