Jose Tariga
Our Featured Nurse
Jose Tariga reached his American dream in April of 2022, when he landed in the United States to pursue his nursing career. Jose initially learned about WorldWide HealthStaff Solutions at an open house event in Abu Dhabi. He recalls his attendance to that open house as one of the best decisions he has ever made in his career.
When reflecting on his immigration journey Jose says, “Patience, perseverance and prayer go a long way. Processing a U.S. application may take a considerable amount of time and energy, to the point that sometimes you will consider giving up. Keeping a mindset that everything will work out as long as you stay committed to your dreams and goals, and having a supportive group of people who believe in you are invaluable factors when starting your immigration journey.”
When asked about the hardest part of his immigration journey, Jose mentions waiting for his interview date. “It was quite nerve-wracking, especially when I heard that some applicants who applied later than me had already received interview dates. I started having anxious thoughts that maybe I was not meant to come to the United States.”
These feelings subsided when Jose finally received his United States Visa. He recollects the best part of his immigration journey as the moment he was able to hold his Visa, “Although when I was congratulated by the immigration officer at the end of my embassy interview was quite overwhelming, the best part was when I was able to hold the U.S. Visa in both hands. It made my American dream feel so real.”
“Working with the WorldWide HealthStaff Solutions team was nothing short of amazing. When I first met the recruitment team in 2019, I immediately felt at home. When I started the immigration application process, the case management team was very helpful and kept me regularly updated. They have been very patient in answering my questions. When I received my Visa, the relocation team was also supportive, especially in allaying my anxiety about the relocation process. The relocation team tried their best to ensure that I was well prepared for the move and that my transition would be as smooth as possible.”
Although the immigration process can be daunting, arriving in the United States makes it all worth it. When asked about his transition to the United States, Jose Tariga says, “Months before I even received my visa, the WWHSS team provided me with a detailed roadmap of the process and what to expect upon arrival. They have also shared a lot of extremely helpful resources that were able to help me prepare for my work (such as high quality pre-orientation materials) and how to jumpstart my life here in the US (such as information on housing and obtaining a car, among many others). The case management and relocation teams have been very helpful and accommodating in providing assistance whenever needed. The U.S. arrival has been smooth, thanks to the guidance provided by WWHSS. If I had to redo the entire journey, I wouldn’t mind as long as I was with WorldWide HealthStaff Solutions.”
